About Venice Italy

One of the gems of Italy, Venice is renowned throughout the world for its stunning building and long canals. Consisting of 117 separate islands united by a series of ancient bridges, canals and sidewalks, Venice Italy is visited per year by many thousands of visitors. Home to some of the world most impressive buildings, awesome museums and fine art galleries, and a large pick of top restaurants, Venice Italy has much to give and seldom disappoints.

Ponte di Rialto

Venice Italy is likely the most loverly city you’ll ever visit. It is well-nigh unnecessary to describe the charms of this wonderful floating city, self-enclosed by hundreds of tiny canals. While rolling through the maze of pathways or taking it easy in a gondola and exploring the city by water, be careful to stop and visit San Marco Square, the well-known Rialto Bridge, the refined Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore. Venice Italy is really a place like no other, with its unusual alleys, watercourses and way of life.

Venice Italy has long been the city of many romantic charms. The city was an essential commercial and cultural hub in the Renaissance epoch. The 16th century was the age of flourishing art. The city turned one of the most significant musical centers of Europe, and the era learned the beginning of the Venetian school of music.

With such water, it is no wonder that Venice Italy is best known for its canals. To hold everything connected, there are over 400 bridges. The canals are the roads of this city. Either you walk to where you got to go or you ride on the water.

Transportation in Venice Italy

This is also representative of transportation of goods to and from their destination. There is a railway line and an automobile transit but not directly in the city itself. Central Venice is easy to traverse on food, being in general well pedestrianized. Fashionable methods of transportation include cheap water buses and more costly motorboat taxis, both of which provide a handy and highly picturesque way to travel around the canals. Linked up by rail to many large cities in both Italy and Europe, Venice stands on the A4 Autostrada.

Venice Italy is home to a large and occupied airport, which is based around 8 miles from the center and caters for many international airlines. Venice’s Marco Polo International Airport is easy to reach by a range of transport, such as buses, cars, taxis, boats and rail.
